What does the method consist of?
Upper eyelids: the operation will correct the excess of skin and fat that causes a heavy and sagging eyelid, thus intensifying the sad look of the stare.

Lower eyelids: it will correct the slackness of skin under the eyes as well as the swelling, most commonly called eye bags. These bags are made of fat and they can appear at an early stage of life. They’re soaked with water that causes them to be more or less important depending on the moment of the day (i.e. morning) or due to hormonal patterns that cause water retention.

Work methodology
It’s a very simple operation consisting of removal of skin and fat excess on the upper and/or the lower eyelids, without, and this is fundamental, changing the shape of the eyes by 1 millimeter.

Within a few weeks, scars become invisible because the eyelids skin is the thinnest of the body, therefore scarring occurs in an exceptional way. For the upper eyelids, the scars will be in the fold of the lids and for the lower ones, the scars will be just under the eyelashes.

Is it painful?
It is not painful since it is performed:

• Under a local anesthesia for the upper eyelids, with a 3 hour hospitalization.
• Under a local anesthesia with IV sedation for the lower eyelids, with a 6 hour hospitalization.

After the surgery, you will have no pain at all and you won’t need to take analgesics.
 
When are the results visible?
After 4 days for the upper eyelids and 7 to 8 days for the lower ones. Results will keep improving and reach perfection after 2 to 3 months. Easy stitches removal is done 3 days later. Bruising and swelling may vary depending on the patient and disappear within a few days. Make up can be applied to hide traces of the operation upon the 5th day. Avoid sun exposure during 4 weeks or wear sunscreen and sunglasses.
