FACE “SILHOUETTE LIFT” COMBINED WITH NECK LIPOSUCTION:

A TRUE AND REMARKABLE FACELIFT UNDER LOCAL ANESTHESIA

PRESENTATION
Created by one of the of the greatest plastic surgeons in the world, the “Silhouette” lift consists of a small operation, which is a real technical revolution versus the old notched threads. This state-of-the-art method allows women to regain that freshness of the face and smile without a general anaesthesia, hospitalization or long recovery period. Ideal to correct nasal labial folds, expression lines, the oval of the face and cheeks, the “Silhouette Lift” gives spectacular results that last several years, using body biocompatible products, thus allowing a much better suspension mechanism than ever seen before.

A neck liposuction is indicated to remove excess fat located under the lower cheeks, jowls and neck that weigh down the neck and oval of the face, inducing what is commonly called a double chin. This procedure allows smoothly slimming and redesigning of this area by removing sagging and fat tissues with a soft aspiration.

TECHNIQUE
The “Silhouette” lift technique is very simple: 2 small incisions on each side of the face, above the ears, which are invisible after the operation. Through these incisions, threads are inserted (generally 4 on each side) in the temple area with a long needle, fastening small resorbable cones and allowing them to hang on to deep tissues while performing a very important pull up of sagging fat and loose skin. Once the tissues are pulled up to the desired height, stitches are fastened onto deep temporal tissues.

The neck liposuction consists of inserting a very thin cannula, through a single or multiple tiny incisions behind the ears and under the chin, into the fat layers beneath the skin. Forward and backward motion with the cannula loosens and breaks apart fat tissues. A suction device (surgical vacuum) is attached to the opposite end of the cannula. Incisions are closed with a stitch, although some are so small that they heal without stitches.

These operations are performed simultaneously under a local anaesthesia combined with IV sedation to avoid any pain or discomfort.

RESULTS
The combination of these 2 procedures gives spectacular results and a tremendous rejuvenation of the face!

Scars are invisible as they’re hidden under the hair (“Silhouette”), behind the ears and under the chin (neck tuck). Recovery is immediate and allows patients to get back to their activities within 2 to 3 days. A compression garment will be worn under the neck area for 3 consecutive days in order to assure a good restructuring of skin. A flexible and natural aspect is highly noticeable just one week later, giving a bright, fresh and youthful look.

The ultimate advantage of the “Silhouette Lift” is that after a few years, threads can be readjusted very easily. As for the neck liposuction, fat will never come back, provided that the patient follows a good diet and exercises.
