NECK LIPOSUCTION PROTOCOL

What does the method consist of?
Indicated to remove excess fat located around and under the chin, neck liposuction is ideal to smooth, slim and redesign this area by removing sagging and fat tissues with a soft aspiration.

Improper or unbalanced diet causes overweight and as far as the face is concerned, adipose tissues occur mainly in the lower cheeks, jowls and neck, where develops what is commonly called a double chin. The liposuction will suck up these adipose tissues thus keeping a 5 mm superficial fat in order to avoid surface unevenness.

Work methodology
It is a 25-minute procedure. The method consists of inserting a very thin cannula, through a single or multiple tiny incisions behind the ears and under the chin, into the fat layers beneath the skin. Forward and backward motion with the cannula loosens and breaks apart fat tissues. A suction device (surgical vacuum) is attached to the opposite end of the cannula. Incisions are closed with a stitch, although some are so small that they heal without stitches.

Scars are invisible as they’re hidden in the contour of the face. Swelling and bruising are usually minimal and a compression garment will be worn for 3 consecutive days in order to assure a good restructuring of skin.

Is it painful?
Performed under a local anesthesia with IV sedation to avoid any discomfort, the operation is painless.

When are the results visible?
Improvement of appearance occurs soon after the surgery (between 4 to 8 days) and even greater after a month. Excellent results are reached upon the 3rd month following the operation. Avoid sun exposure for 4 weeks. Fat will never come back, provided that the patient follows a good diet and exercises.
